June 10–13, 2008

Hotel Il Chiostro, Verbania-Intra (Italy)

Conference proceedings
The papers related to oral presentations and posters presented at the MCC 2008 CONFERENCE (as well as those presented at the MCC 2008 COURSE) will be published as issue of a newly established International Journal of Chemical Modeling (IJCHEMO). Here there is the letter for Call of Papers on MCC2008-IJCHEMO:

Call for Papers-MCC2008/IJCHEMO
Dear Colleague, We are honored to invite you contributing a paper to the recent launched International Journal of Chemical Modeling-IJCHEMO published by NOVA Science Publishers (New York):

https://www.novapublishers.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=7111

in the behalf of the Proceedings of the 23rd MATH/CHEM/COMP 2008 (MCC 2008) course & conference, edited under the stewardship of Guest Editors Prof. Ante Graovac and Prof. Roberto Todeschini. With your kind co-operation, we intend to produce a world class special issue IJCHEMO which we hope to propagate broadly among scientists.

Kindly submitting your paper by deadline of beginning September to both Profs. Graovac (graovac@irb.hr) and Putz (mvputz@cbg.uvt.ro, mv_putz@yahoo.com) for the best handling and archiving of your contribution.

We look forward to working together!
Sincerely yours,

Meetings presentation

The International Academy of Mathematical Chemistry (IAMC) and MATH/CHEM/COMP 2008 Conference (MCC08) meetings will be held in Verbania (Italy), during the same week. The IAMC meeting will be held June 9, 2008; the subsequent MATH/CHEM/COMP 2008 Conference will be held June 10 - 13, 2008.
Both meetings, organised by the Italian Chemometric Society, will take place at Hotel Il Chiostro. The MATH/CHEM/COMP conferences are annual and this will be the first time the meeting is held in Italy.
In addition to the scientific program the participants will be able to take part in optional sightseeing. IAMC members can meet in Verbania (Italy) on Sunday June 8th, while MATH/CHEM/COMP 2008 participants are encouraged to meet on Monady June 9th for registration and a get together party before the official start of the meeting.
Note that, in addiction to the MATH/CHEM/COMP 2008 Conference, the MATH/CHEM/COMP 2008 Course will be held June 16 - 21, 2008 in Dubrovnik.

Purposes
These symposia constitute a significant part of mathematical chemistry, and chemists, statisticians, mathematicians have always shared their experience in professional, as well as social pursuits. The aim of these conferences is to bring together people working in mathematical chemistry and to be a forum where a broad range of methods, applications and algorithms are being presented. The organizers aim to make the symposium a stimulating and interesting event for both academia and industry, where new developments and trends in mathematical chemistry will be presented. The main topics of the meetings are:
Molecular descriptors
QSAR/QSPR modeling
Graph theory in chemistry
Benzenoids and related systems
Bioinformatics and molecules of biological interest
Chemoinformatics and chemical software tools
Fullerenes and nanotubes
Mathematics with chemical applications
